WHY LIVE STREAMING IS SO IMPORTANT

This video is the launch of my new series HOW TO LIVE STREAM where week by week I’ll tell you the best systems, equipment, and show structure so you don’t have to research hundreds of Youtube videos looking for the answers.

So If you're a marketing director in a corporation, run an SME, or an entrepreneur and you're not live streaming you’re missing a trick and I'm going to tell you why it’s so important and how to set it all up. So if you want to get followers, fans, collaborators, and clients then watch the replay of this LIVE stream.

In 2020 everyone was stuck at home and Live video jumped by 50%, and I was no different. I level up'd my game and constantly pushed out high-quality video content and live streams and now we don't sell to prospects we simply attract new leads through our content. It identifies we're a good fit for each other and we can solve their problem.

Now because Live video receives 6x more engagement than regular video, the algorithms on all the platforms really, really like it. Live streaming can help you reach more people because platforms will favor live content. For example, if you go live on LinkedIn or Facebook, the chance of your followers seeing it on their newsfeed is higher than if you share an image or a video on demand. YouTube will also favor live video on its searches, it also favors videos that you share, like, or give a thumbs up, unless it’s by my 5-year-old daughter who last night was literally putting her thumbs up to videos at the end when encouraged by the creator!
It’s clear that, even for my 5-year old daughter, you can engage your audience. Live streaming also gives you the opportunity to interact with your audience in real-time through the comments and they can interact with each other giving a sense of community.

There’s a wonderful authenticity that brings you closer to your audience and builds a relationship with them. This builds trust and we buy from people we trust.
Now, of course, as part of your video marketing strategy, you can also put your recorded Youtube video on your website blog page which will crush your SEO. The value isn’t just in the live streaming, often the initial viewers can be a little low but the views will rack up with the replays especially if you are marketing your videos correctly. And remember to repurpose your content, take exerts and post them on other channels like Instagram and Google My Business.
If you still need convincing the statistics speak for themselves:
64% of users are more likely to buy a product online after watching a video.
39% of executives call a vendor after viewing a video.
59% of executives would rather watch a video than reading text.
But it’s worth noting that 62% of consumers are more likely to have a negative perception of a brand that publishes poor-quality video. So just beware of the people that tell you ‘people are forgiving just go for it’, although this is kind of true, it’s also true that there is so much content out there that you’ll lose viewers in a heartbeat. You know what it’s like, who wants to sit there listening to crapy audio.
But don’t worry next week I will share with you how to set up your own broadcasting, live streaming, content creation studio. I will cover everything from the best software, audio equipment, cameras, and lighting to suit every budget from freeware and kit you’ll already have, but set up properly to really good quality prosumer affordable kit all the way to a professional permanent broadcast studio with greenscreen.
On a final note Live streaming is the most COST-EFFECTIVE form of marketing. The set-up spend is low, there’s no editing and you can stream to multiple channels all at the same time reaching a massive audience globally in an instance - FREE. Imagine if I said to you have a 30-minute slot at prime time TV on every channel and it would be free, I think you’d say - YES PLEASE!!!
