We're going to look at how you can use broadcasting software, OBS, with Zoom, to present your proposal to clients so it will be really engaging and interactive. We'll also show you how to do an instant video message and send it to your client within seconds.

As we're all spending more time making conference calls, conference meetings, using Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams. We're all looking for better ways to present projects or proposals to our clients, and to be able to communicate and connect with them on a deeper level. So I'm gonna give you some little tips today on how to use different software to really help you do that.

To make the experience for your audience more professional I would recommend using a decent webcam, mic and light. This helps remove the distraction of poor quality and they can focus on your message. In our last video ZOOM MEETING GEAR FOR THE BEST QUALITY CONFERENCE CALL I give you some great tips on which kit works really well and that isn’t expensive, with some links where you can purchase the items and how to set them up.

So, first of all, if you look at the video, I'm using broadcasting software called OBS. Here I've got it connected to Zoom, but it's through OBS. So this means I can transition into different windows to present different information. So if I click the transition into a new screen where I've got a proposal already set up, you can interact with that proposal. In the video, I show where there's a button that says interact. That brings up, and I've got it set on my second screen here, my proposal, which I can click through and it will adjust live while I'm talking to people. I could be looking here at a second screen, I can talk to them about the different elements of the proposal whilst they can still see me. It's very interactive, a useful tool for clients where you can talk them through a proposal.

You could look at their website, whatever you choose to be discussing with them like their Youtube, Instagram or LinkedIn profiles and go through that with them live. So it's a very clever, very simple little tool to use. If you need help setting this up, please do reach out to us.

There's one other thing I just wanted to point out. You’ll notice my Zoom screen, I've minimized it and I've got it sat just underneath my webcam. So if I just go back to a conference call and you can see I've pinned the person I'm talking to to the top of the screen in Zoom and I can then look at them and it'll look like I'm talking directly at them because their faces just blow in my webcam.

So it's a great way to really connect with the person you're talking to.

INSTANT VIDEO MESSAGES

Another quick thing I wanted to show you is after meetings, it's really good to send personal messages as you would normally do a little follow up to thank people by email, or some people are doing voice messages, but if you can do a little video message, that's really powerful.

So I'm just going to show you a very quick way to do that. There's other software that does it, but I use Vimeo. And I'm just going to show you how simple that is. There's a little plugin you can have on your Chrome bar and it'll just bring up a little window and I've got it set to the camera but you can record the screen or camera and screen. It's still working through OBS. So if I want to have a different screen, I could do that, and I can just start recording. So for example, I might go three, two, one. ‘Hi, I thank you for your time today. It was really good to speak with you. I've already sent her the proposal will be in your inbox now. So just check that out and I look forward to speaking to your Monday. Thanks very much.’ (live demo in video 03:24)
Hit Stop recording. It just loads it and gives us a link which we can just copy that link, and let's say, for example, I'm on LinkedIn. I can paste the link, send it to that person. As you can see, they get a link. They get the thumbnail of the video that we've just recorded and it will play within the LinkedIn message box. You can do the same with email. We can just drop it into an email. So they go, how quick was that? A super way to really connect with people. It's much more personal and it just breaks down those barriers. And this is fantastic, especially when we can't get to face-to-face meetings. So I hope you found that really useful, and I'm looking forward to speaking to you on the next video blog, and please subscribe to our channel. Thank you.
